I hope you’ve all had a great Bank Holiday Monday! Here’s a little video that could bring a little joy to your hearts, even though its heroine and her troops fail in the end. It’s from the Citizens Arrest Network and was posted on the 18th of last month. It shows their leader marching into Thames Water headquarters to perform a citizen’s arrest on two of their CEOs for public nuisance. The papers have gone through a lawyer, so it’s all above board. And the public nuisance for which the lady is attempting to nab them is the corporation raising their bills and pumping sewage into the waterways. Also, as the explain to the investigating policewomen and men, they sort of have official backing in that Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said that they ought to be arrested.
Hoo-Rah!
Of course, as you could have guessed, they get absolutely nowhere as the policewomen and men state they have no call to arrest the two offenders at this particular time. But I’m fully behind the Network and ordinary people doing what they legally can to have the profiteering scumbags arrested and charged.

While children in Gaza starve and bombs murder them in their sleep – Israel’s Prime Minister is travelling to Hungary!
The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant on Netanyahu, and Hungary is obliged to arrest him. But they said they simply won’t!
International justice is not optional, Europe must immediately pressure Viktor Orbán to comply and Netanyahu be taken to court for the unimaginable horrors he’s caused to civilians in Gaza. Sign our urgent plea to arrest Netanyahu and share with everyone!
This isn’t just about Hungary. If people and leaders stay silent and this state visit isn’t met with strong opposition, the International Criminal Court will be further weakened and other countries could be emboldened to also grant impunity to a man accused of crimes against humanity.
In the past two weeks alone, 322 children have been killed.
Let’s turn every WhatsApp group, every social media feed, every corner of the internet into a roar of resistance. Sign and share our urgent call to Orbán and world leaders: Arrest Netanyahu!
Hungary is opening the door for Netanyahu — and others may follow. Germany’s next chancellor, Friedrich Merz, is already considering hosting him too.
Let’s show both Viktor Orbán and all world leaders that the people of the world will not stand by silently as these horrors keep unfolding in front of our eyes.
With hope and determination,

There’s a news report on YouTube that Orban has taken Hungary out of the International Criminal Court, presumably to stop this happening. Even so, I remember a few years ago when a few righteous Irish guys tried to perform a citizen’s arrest on Henry Kissinger when he turned up on some kind of foul visit to their awesome country. And back in the 90s the highly controversial gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell rightly got plaudits when he tried to do the same to that monster Mugabe for the murder of a journalist. He got seven bells beaten out of him as a result by Mugabe goons, and is still living with his injuries. But I admire his courage for attempting this. It’d be great if someone could arrest Netanyahu for his considerable crimes against humanity, but I don’t see it happening.
