Okay, this isn’t satirical, but it is funny. Someone called Swedemason put this up on his channel on YouTube. It’s basically Trump morphed into the old Talking Heads’ video for their hit, ‘Once in a Lifetime’, and cut and edited a la Cassetteboi so that he sings the song.
Talking Heads were a great band, who produced some of the finest tracks of the eighties. But possibly a better choice for making Donald Trump act out the lyrics would be ‘Road to Nowhere’, with its Gospel chorus singing a song of bleak nihilism. Now that would capture that poverty, pessimism and despair of contemporary America and its threadbare, exploitative politics and economics.
