A Up Let’s Talk Shows Theresa May Can Say Nothing Except ‘Strong and Stable’

June 4, 2017

My thanks to Jo, one of the great commenters to this blog, for sending this in.

This is another video from A Up Let’s Talk, in which the Northern vloggers shows that Theresa May has absolutely nothing to say except to repeat ‘strong and stable’ about herself endlessly, like a mantra.

The video begins with a clip from the Republican presidential debates, where one of the contenders for the Republican presidential nomination rips into Marco Rubio for having nothing to say except a 30 second prepared speech.

Then comes the main section of the video, where Theresa May shows how ill-equipped she is for government and for political debate, as she shows that, like Rubio, she has nothing to say except a prepared script.

And as the minutes tick on, she repeats ‘strong and stable’. A Up Let’s Talk has a counter running in the top right corner of the screen keeping score of how many times she uses it. He also puts a little ‘WTF’ up, whenever May says something bizarre and nonsensical.

To be fair, she doesn’t always say ‘strong and stable’. A couple of times she also says ‘coalition of chaos’ and throws something about Brexit into the mix. But the result is that by after only a couple of minutes, she’s said ‘strong and stable’ somewhere around 13 times.

I’ve joked before about how she’s like a robot, programmed with a limited number of phrases that she just has to repeat endlessly, and that you could play Bingo with a scorecard of her clichés and stock phrases. This proves it.

She has nothing to say except clichés. Just as all she’s done in power in follow the well-worn Thatcherite policies of privatisation, running down the NHS, destroying the welfare state, and reducing millions to poverty and near starvation.

Don’t let her back in.
Vote Labour on 8th June for articulate, reasoned, sensible government.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy Shreds Tory MP David Davis

June 3, 2017

This is a short clip from vlogger Kevin Logan, who specialises in tearing apart the extreme right and anti-feminists. The Tory MP, David Davis appeared on Channel 4 News in the week, being interviewed by Krishnan Guru-Murthy. Davis made the comment that Murthy was bringing politics into disrepute by not waiting for his answer.

At which point, the veteran newsman lets rip in a diatribe that tells Davis exactly what’s what. He states that what’s bringing politics into disrepute is

* lying about your opponents, as Theresa May did when she claimed that Corbyn was in favour of controlled immigrations. If you looked at the Labour manifesto, you’d see that he was in favour of managed immigration.

* U-turns, such as when May said she wouldn’t hold a general election, only to declare several weeks later that she would.

* And not turning up to debates.

Logan graphically shows what a smackdown this is, by showing people dropping the mike, and crowds backing away after their man is punched out in a school fight.

Secular Talk on Trump Running from Fox Debate, because Afraid of Moderator Megyn Kelly

January 29, 2016

This is another video from the atheist news show, Secular Talk, about the true-life political comedy known as Donald Trump. Fox News has been desperate to get The Donald on their show, debating with the other presidential candidates. There’s an excruciating video of Fox’s anchorman and serial liar, Bill O’Reilly, virtually grovelling before Trump trying to get him to come on. So far the Nazi of Trump Tower has refused. And the reason is hilarious.

He’s scared of Megyn Kelly.

She was the journalist, who had the audacity the last time Trump was on Fox to ask him about his Tweets, in which Trump made disparaging comments about women and ethnic minorities. She did so nicely and sympathetically, not directly criticising Trump, but simply asking how he would respond to his enemies attacking him for them. This extremely mild questioning was too much for Trump’s fail ego, and he has decided to take his ball and go elsewhere.

Trump has made a point of posing as the enemy of political correctness, but as the show’s host, Kyle Kulinski, shows, Trump himself here shows the very worst aspects of it. The refusal to debate, the demands for sympathy, for ‘safe spaces’ against ‘microaggressions’, all the censorship and emotionalism of Politically Correct culture. Unfortunately, this will be lost on Trump’s fans and followers, who somehow think that he’s an awful male, and this kind of petulant cowardice is the masterful way real, alpha-male men behave.
