Best Good Friday Wishes to all my Readers and Commenters

Today is Good Friday, the day when Christians commemorate the crucifixion and death of our Lord, and look forward to His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

But whatever you religious beliefs, or lack of them, I wish the readers of this blog a very happy and peaceful Easter holiday. Enjoy yourselves, and don’t let the squalid spawn of Thatcher grind you down!

    You too Beast!!
Did you kinow that saint Joanna was one the two females who discovered Jesus’ empty tomb? The other was called Suzanna
I was looking up various names and found out a lot female saints that I had never heard of.
Why is there never a female saints day celebrated?

There were in the Middle Ages, Jo. Quite a number of them – but the cult of the saints went out in England with the Reformation. But one female saint, who is massively popular today, is Hildegard of Bingen. She was the abbess of a German convent, who had visions of the heavenly city. These visions have been diagnosed by some doctors as the effects of one type of epilepsy. She was also very well educated and active, writing plays, music and science, as it was then. She was also a advocate of preserving the environment from pollution.

Why can’t doctors have an open mind and try to accept that there is a lot to life that can’t be explained, afterall isn’t that what hopes and dreams are based on.

I heard a saying once, I don’t know where but it goes like this,

Why is it when a person talks to God, it is praying?
But when God talks to a person it is classed as insanity.

        Happy Easter Beastie!!!
