Meeting Tomorrow in London Against the Zionist Witch-Hunt and Smears of Anti-Zionists

Tony Greenstein, the veteran Socialist, anti-Racist and determined anti-Zionist, put up a piece on his blog a few days ago about a meeting in London tomorrow to organise resistance against the Blairites and Zionist activists, the Jewish Labour Movement, and their campaign of expulsion and smearing against decent anti-Zionists in the Labour party. In order to cling on to power, and suppress all criticism of the massacres, land seizures and ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinians, the Blairites and the Israel lobby, including the Jewish Labour Movement, have smeared decent anti-racists and campaigners against anti-Semitism, like Ken Livingstone, Jackie Walker, and very many others, including Greenstein himself, as anti-Semites. This is even when they are self-respecting Jews themselves, who are Torah-observant or otherwise active in their communities.

Greenstein’s article states that the recent Labour party conference must have been a ‘miserable affair’ for the JLM and its leader, Jeremy Newmark, as so many of the candidates openly supported the Palestinians and wore their headscarves. He also describes how the Zionists in the Labour party are supported in their smears by those outside the party, like Jonathan Freedland of the Guardian.

This time the Zionists have overreached themselves by demanding the expulsion of Dr. Moshe Machover, a very distinguished Israeli academic, Labour activist and critic of Zionism. Greenstein states very clearly that Dr. Machover is anything but an anti-Semite, and the Blairites and JLM know this.

The meeting to stop the witch-hunt against decent Labour party members, like Dr. Machover, is tomorrow, the 21st October, 12.00-3.00 p.m at the Calthorpe Arms, Gray’s Inn Rd, London. The meeting is to debate the establishment of a new group, Labour Against the Witch-Hunt.
