Massive March in Washington DC Against Trump’s Muslim Ban

This is a video of the massive march that occurred yesterday in Washington D.C., as what looks like easily tens of thousands, if not a hundred thousand severely normal Americans marched in protest at Trump’s ban on Muslim immigration. The video’s from The Young Turks, and you can hear their anchorman, Eric Byler, stating that this is a kind of ’tissue rejection’. America’s seen the all-White face of bigotry in the mirror represented by Trump’s regime, and doesn’t like what it sees.

The marchers hold up a variety of placards. Several show a female Muslim face wrapped in a chador the colour of the American flag. There are also placards stating that all faiths should be welcome in America. I spotted one, which was by a Jewish person, protesting against the ban based on their experience as a Jew. The marchers can be heard chanting ‘No hate, no fear, refugees are welcome here!’ And at least one quotes the lines from the Statue of Liberty: ‘Give me your poor… your huddled masses’. Or words to that effect.

This shows just how many Americans are coming out onto the streets to stop Fascism in their nation.
