lifeworks The occupation of the Lifeworks centre in Cambridge is now entering its tenth week with protesters promising they aren’t going anywhere soon.

Lifeworks is a project for people with borderline personality disorders, a condition which in the worst cases can lead to serious self-harm or suicide.  The service is funded by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust’s (CPFT) who have made the decision to close the centre as part of a £6 million cost-cutting exercise.

The service users were not consulted about the move and are furious that  vital support they were promised for the rest of their lives is now being swept away.  The occupation began after a sit in protest by Lifeworks users at the beginning of March.  Speaking to Solidarity newspaper those inside said:
